Abstract
The topic offers offers insight into how our thoughts and physical presence either helps or hinders our ability to connect and communicate effectively with others, either in a networking setting, job interview, or in relationships to colleagues. This is an introduction to understanding the congruence between what we say, and how we say it. The intention is to offer participants a lens through which they can explore the messages they are sending with their body and language, and how these messages help or hinder our ability to establish trust and credibility. Key points of the presentation focus on how to embody ways of building trust and credibility, staying centered in times of chaos, and connecting with others.

Bio.
Amy Castoro offers more than two decades of experience assessing, selecting and developing leadership competence.  Her work with The Walt Disney Company, Adecco Corporation and Grant Thornton Management Consulting provide her with a strong foundation to understand what it takes for people to get hired and progress through organizations.  She spent 10 years in retained executive search for senior level positions working within the financial, pharmaceutical, technology, and manufacturing industries.  Amy is a published author who has conducted presence based workshops for various associations, organizations and State Agencies.  Amy's work is informed by a Bachelors in Organizational Psychology, three year Somatic Coaching Certificate, and the completion of a three year business course focusing on language and action.  Amy is based in Princeton New Jersey area and can be reached by dialing 609-716-6424 or via email at amy@irimigroup.com.  To read her other articles, please visit her website at www.irimigroup.com http://www.irimigroup.com/


Networking Tips: the Key to Your Next Successful Career Transition

Abstract
Most people will have at least seven career changes in their life time.  Even for the few that are lucky to remain with the same company these transitions still happen.  A high percentage of these transitions will be facilitated by your network.  While hundreds of jobs are easily view on the internet less than 5% of those who apply will find a position using these leads alone.  What can you do to enhance your interactions with others in a manor than will assist you find that helpful lead?

Bio.
Bill Suits is an ACS Career Consultant for more than ten years helping hundreds with their career advancement.  He retired after spending many years selling and marketing scientific instruments for Packard, Varian, Dionex and Beckman.  This year Bill received Henry Hill Award from the ACS Professional Relations Division for his lifetime of volunteer service.  He served as Chair of the NJ Section, MARM 05 and the MARM Board of Directors and continues to serving ACS in many roles.
As a Director for ChemPharma he helped executives find new positions.  As a director for AIDSfreeAFRICA he is helping Africans solve their health challenges.
